Amy Chozick

Amy Chozick is an American journalist and author. She is best known for her work as a political writer and editor for The New York Times. Chozick most recently wrote Shaken: Fighting Back After A Devastating Diagnosis and How It Shaped A New Meaning For Life (2021).

Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Chozick graduated from Trinity University with degrees in English and journalism. In 2001, she moved to New York City and later joined the staff at The New York Times in 2006. Initially covering the newspaper’s media and advertising beat, Chozick moved to the newsroom in 2008 and was quickly promoted to editor in 2010.
