B. J. Fogg

B.J. Fogg is an American author, speaker, and behavioral scientist from Palo Alto, California. He is the founder and head of the Stanford Behavior Design Lab, where he teaches courses on persuasive technology, health behavior change and habit formation. He has written and lectured about behavior, technology and psychology for 20 years and holds a Ph.D in psychology from Stanford University.

Fogg has written several books on the topics of behavior change, habit formation, and persuasive technology. His first book, Persuasive Technology: Using Computers to Change What We Think and Do (2003), was the first book to introduce the concept of persuasive technology and its potential applications.
