Ben Rhodes is an American author who has written a wide range of fictional and non-fictional books that explore culture, music, art and mythology. He's the award-winning author of several best-selling novels, including his debut novel A Summer of Saturdays. Rhodes grew up in rural Oklahoma where he gained a love for writing and art that was encouraged by his parents. After graduating high school, he enrolled at the University of Oklahoma and majored in English. While there, Rhodes wrote for various student newspapers and wrote a number of short stories. After graduating from college, Rhodes moved to Nashville where he worked in the song-writing industry. He soon shifted his focus to writing fiction and received a master's degree from Vanderbilt University in Creative Writing.

In 2001, Rhodes published his debut novel A Summer of Saturdays, which was published to great acclaim, earning him a nomination for the Pulitzer Prize. The novel follows the story of a young man, who is struggling to find his place in a world filled with secrets and surveillance.
