Bruce Wilkinson

Bruce Wilkinson is a much-admired author who has written a number of inspiring books that have touched many lives. He is a New York Times bestselling author whose books have been translated into more than 36 languages. He is best known for The Prayer of Jabez, which sold more than 8 million copies worldwide, and many of his works center on the power of prayer and have made him a global phenomenon. Bruce Wilkinson has experienced remarkable success and has been featured in TIME, Fortune magazine, and USA Today.

Bruce Wilkinson was born to missionary parents who, in 1977, went to Zambia in Africa to share the gospel. As a teenager, Bruce was exposed to Afrikaans and became interested in the power of prayer. This interest would become a main theme in each of his books.

Prior to becoming an author, Bruce served as Executive Director of Campus Crusade for Christ International and was responsible for overseeing 1,700 staff in 43 countries. He later founded Walk Thru the Bible Ministries, an international organization dedicated to helping people understand God’s Word and interpret prayer successfully. He also served as the President and CEO of Eddo Publications, a Christian publishing business.

Bruce has published fifteen books, of which five have been New York Times bestsellers. His first book, The Prayer of Jabez, published in 2000, was a runaway success. It was soon followed by his book Secrets of the Vine in 2001, which became a number one bestseller in several countries. His other books include The Dream Giver, A Life God Rewards, The Secrets of the Niche, The Breakthrough Series, and Dreams and Visions.

In addition to writing books, Bruce has written several articles and essays as well as creating a number of audio, video, and online materials based on his teachings. He has also given lectures and workshops in various countries and is an active member of the International Network of Christian Leaders. Bruce has taught Christian education to students in North America, South America, Europe, and Africa.
