Caroline Lambert is a Canadian author of contemporary fiction focused on female protagonists and the bonds of sisterhood. Born and raised in Quebec, Lambert's work has been lauded for its vivid and detailed portrayal of the sisterly bond, and her honest and raw depiction of female relationships. Hailed as one of Canada's outstanding new writers of realistic fiction, Lambert's writing focuses primarily on the intricacies of the relationships between women and how they cope with a variety of issues that arise in their lives.

Lambert's first book, Sisters of Summer's End, revolved around four estranged sisters who reunite at their family's cottage during the summer to lay their father to rest and grapple with the difficult choices his death presents. The novel was a critical success, with the Globe and Mail describing the novel as "emotional intelligence and a finely-tuned sense of humour."

Lambert's second novel, Sans tambour ni trompette was published in 2011 and won the Prix des Libraires du Quebec award for best novel of the year. This book, a coming-of-age story about a young girl's journey of self-discovery and the obstacles and adventures that she faces along the way, was praised for its vivid portrayal of the complexities of female friendships, family dynamics, and the struggles of growing up. Many critics have praised its raw and honest depiction of teenage life.

Lambert's third book, Plainsong, was published in 2018 and continues her exploration of the female relationships found in her previous books. Plainsong is set in the prairies of southern Manitoba and follows the story of three generations of women confronting secrets, secrets that have been kept for many generations. With its mix of female relationships, emotional depth and humour, Plainsong has been widely acclaimed. The Toronto Star wrote, "Lambert’s writing is witty, sharp, and poignantly real, deftly blending humour and despair, joy and grief."

Throughout her writing career, Lambert has received numerous accolades, including the Prix Des Libraires Du Quebec, and has appeared at events such as the Vancouver International Writers Festival. She has also been featured in prominent Canadian publications, such as Chatelaine, Today's Parent, and Reader's Digest.

Now established as one of Canada's premier authors of contemporary fiction, Lambert has left her mark on the literary world with her focus on female relationships that rings true to real life. Her honest portrayal of the bond between sisters, with all its complexities, nuances, and joys, is a testament to Lambert's artistry, and a reminder that even if sisters may be apart geographically, they are never too far away in heart and soul.
