Gay Hendricks
Gay Hendricks is an author, speaker, and visionary who has had an influential and wide-reaching impact on modern spirituality. Born in 1945 in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, Hendricks has authored or co-authored over 40 books, all of which focus on fostering personal, professional, and spiritual growth. Hendricks initially developed an interest in psychology while studying at Stanford University in the 1960s. After completing his bachelor's degree, he went on to earn a PhD in counseling psychology at the University of Colorado. Hendricks has adapted his methods to the workplace as well, propelling energy and communication improvement among managers and teams with Conscious Business.
Hendricks has also written many books dedicated to the topics of personal growth and transformation. One of his most notable, The Big Leap, details the impact of limiting beliefs on one's life and explains how to identify and overcome them. It has appeared on the New York Times Best Seller list and has been translated into 23 languages. His other books include Five Wishes, The First Rule of Ten, The Big Leap Conquer the Seven Hidden Fears That Sabotage Success, and The Conscious Heart.
In addition to his books, Hendricks has also made a significant impact in the field of music. His collaboration with musician Kris Carr resulted in the spiritual album Peaceful Heart. Similarly, his wife, Dr. Kathlyn Hendricks, wrote and explained the various techniques used in music therapy for improving lives.
Hendrick’s accomplishments have led to many honors and awards. He has received Nautilus Awards for books such as The Big Leap and Five Wishes., and the Institute for Noetic Sciences Pioneer Award in 2009.
