George R. R. Martin
George R.R. Martin is a critically acclaimed author, producer, and screenplay writer best known for creating the epic fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire. Published since 1996, the series has inspired a television adaptation, Game of Thrones, as well as feature films, comics, and video games.
Born in 1948 in Bayonne, New Jersey, Martin always demonstrated a creative streak and a love for writing. He attended Northwestern University, where he earned a Bachelor in Journalism and later completed his Master’s in Science Fiction.
