George Zaidan

George Zaidan is an author and technology entrepreneur known for writing about science, technology, and social topics. Born in 1984 in Los Angeles, California, Zaidan earned his B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine and his MB.A from Stanford University. He then went on to serve as the co-founder and CEO of the e-learning startup SparkNotes, which was acquired in 2004 by Barnes & Noble.

Since leaving the business world, Zaidan has written fourteen books, with subjects ranging from artificial intelligence and the future of work, to best practices in entrepreneurships. His first book, Geekonomics: The Real Cost of Insecure Software, was published in 2006 and shed light on the real costs that society is exposed to when dealing with computer security threats.

In 2009, Zaidan released Future Forward: A Primer on using Technology and Science to Reimagine the Future which explored the implications of recent advances in technology and science and how they might be used to shape a better future. In 2012, he wrote Love Your Enemies: How to Break the Anger Habit and Be a Whole Lot Happier, addressing the issue of anger management, its causes and ways to handle it.

Then in 2014, Zaidan released Innovate to Dominate: Why Outsmarting the Competition Is the Only Sustainable Advantage, which examined the increasing importance of innovation in the globalized economy and explored how the concept of innovation has shifted over time. In 2017, Zaidan wrote Experiential Marketing: How to Get Customers to Sense, Feel, Think, Act, and Relate to your Company and Brands, which explored the theory of experiential marketing and why it's an important tool for companies in the modern economy.

More recently, in 2019, Zaidan released The Three Senses of Technology: A Framework for Understanding the Impact of Technology on Humanity, which provides an in-depth look into the three senses of how technology affects human life: automation, engagement, and communication. Zaidan offers insights on how technology has changed the way we communicate, how technology can be used to create positive impacts, and how to create a balance between technology and people.

In addition to his books, Zaidan is an active public speaker, having made appearances at Google, TEDx, SXSW and many more. He has also had his writings featured in publications such as Wired Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Next City, and The Harvard Business Review.
