James Hamblin

He wrote the New York Times bestseller “If Our Bodies Could Talk” and was an editor-at-large of The Atlantic magazine.

Hamblin graduated from Amherst College and then obtained his medical degree from the University of Michigan. Afterward, he completed an internal medicine residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and was a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania.

In 2010, Hamblin wrote the book If Our Bodies Could Talk – A Guide To Operating and Maintaining a Human Body. The book explains how to take care of and understand your own body. He offers informed opinions on nutrition, sleep, exercise, medical testing and medication, and how to interpret news from the world of medical research.
