Jennifer Krause
Jennifer Krause is a critically acclaimed author of young adult novels who has been writing since 2008. Her debut novel, A Summer in Primrose Bay, was a stunning success and was later made into a Hallmark Channel movie. Since that time, Krause has gone on to write several more novels, including Dream Just a Little, Firefly Lake, and most recently, Make a Wish.
Krause was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, where she attended the University of Missouri. She graduated with a degree in writing and now works at a newspaper as a correspondent. Though she did not plan on becoming a writer, Krause's love for storytelling quickly led her to it. Her author bio reads, “I’ve always enjoyed stories. Much of what we learn about life we learn through stories. My stories are about love, family, and friendship.”

One of the most recent books from Krause is Make a Wish. This book follows the life of Emily, who has just received the news that she will be moving to a tiny rural town for the summer. Emily is desperate for adventure, and her wish is quickly granted when she falls in love with a young man from a nearby Amish community. The story is full of romance and the importance of family and discovering who you are, which have become staples of Krause’s work.
