Jerzy Gregorek
Jerzy Gregorek is a respected author and guest lecturer who has dedicated his life to personal development, fitness and leadership. He is a two-time Olympian in weightlifting and a two-time World Championship medalist in Master's weightlifting. Jerzy has been on four continents, delivered keynote talks and seminars in over 20 countries and authored a number of books that aim to stimulate the minds, bodies and spirits of readers everywhere.
Jerzy was born in Wielczów, Poland to Henryk, a coal miner and physical education teacher, and Stanislawa, a former school nurse and minor athlete. After graduating from high school, Jerzy attended the University of Agriculture Science in Kraków, where he earned a Master's degree in Animal Husbandry. After graduating, he decided to pursue an additional Master's at the Academy of Physical Education in Katowice. There, he specialized in Sports Training & Sports Nutrition, which set the stage for his career in weightlifting.
Throughout his illustrious career, he has been involved in a variety of teaching, training and nutrition projects. His involvement and expertise even extended beyond the sports world to the corporate sector, where he consulted on various matters and gave seminars. Jerzy also developed a series of licensed workshops that were aimed at advancing the physical and mental performance of individuals.
Following his success as an athlete, Jerzy turned his attention to writing, specifically how to better manage stress and how to develop personal strength. His recent works, including “The Happy Body The Simple Science of Nutrition, Exercise, and Relaxation”, focus on practical strategies that can be applied immediately to enhance physical and psychological wellbeing. His most recent book, “The Willpower Instinct: How Self-Control Works, Why It Matters and What You Can Do To Get More Of It,” digs deep into the science of willpower and offers readers tangible advice on how to find success in life.
In addition to his many successes, Jerzy has also been recognized for his humanitarian work, receiving the European Senior Citizen Award, the Humanitarian Trophy from the Foundation of Education and Social Support, and the Year Of The Senior Citizen Award from the United Nations. His commitment to his craft and the comfort and sheer joy it brings to others is undeniable and should be celebrated.
