Jill Tracie Nichols

Jill Tracie Nichols is an American author of contemporary fiction, paranormal romance, and science fiction novels. She is also a recipient of the prestigious RITA award. Born in Virginia, she grew up as an avid reader of fantasy and science fiction from a young age, developing a deep love for books that she still holds today.

Jill attended college in Indiana where she studied English, with a focus on creative writing. During her college years, she found herself developing a unique style in which she could combine elements of the two genres she loved so much. After college, she worked as a freelance writer for several years and continued to further her development as an author. Fighting through bouts of depression, she eventually began to put words to paper and create her own stories, eventually leading her to her first publication.

Many of her works are inspired by her own backgrounds and personal experiences. She has stated that her “situations and characters often arise from horrible nightmares.” Jill’s early success was modest, but she soon went on to receive critical and commercial acclaim for her various books. In 2011, she was awarded the coveted RITA Award for her paranormal romance novel, Enchanted Keepers.
