Jonathan Alter

Jonathan Alter is a journalist, author, political analyst, and commentator. He has a long and distinguished career that has spanned print media, television, and digital outlets. Alter has been a senior editor at Newsweek and an author and columnist for The Daily Beast and MSNBC.

Born in 1953 in Chicago, Alter attended Amherst College and then worked for the Boston Globe, where his work appeared on the paper's front page.
