Kelly Parsons
Kelly Parsons is an acclaimed author of several bestselling historical fiction and fantasy novels. She was born in Long Beach, California in 1979 and grew up in various cities across the U.S. and Europe due to her father's military career.
Parsons began writing in high school as way of deriving an escape from the nomadic nature of her upbringing and ever since then, has dedicated her life to writing. After earning an undergraduate degree in Comparative Literature and Language at UC Irvine, she worked odd jobs while she continued to write but it wasn’t until the turn of the millennium that she started to was making a real name for herself.
Behind her success is a constant commitment to creating stories that intrigue and challenge readers. She is renowned for her extensive and thorough research that she puts into every one of her works and she prides herself on grounding her stories in reality no matter how fantastical the premise.

An exploration of the character of Esther from the Bible, the novel is unique in its integrated narrative that is both epic and intimate.
In 2010 Kelly wrote her first fantasy novel ‘The Seventh Veil’ – a three-part series set in a mythical land, filled with characters and creatures that add a layer of enchantment to the story. As a series, the book deals with themes of identity, loss and hope but it’s the complexity and inventiveness of the characters that continues to draw audiences in.
In 2018, Kelly released ‘Four Stones, Seven Trees’ – an adventure-fantasy novel that follows a band of characters who bravely embark on a quest is they travel across the magical landscape of Siena in search of forgotten power. The story is equal parts thrilling and touching, highlighting the mysterious beauty of the inner strength of human nature.
Throughout her career, Kelly’s work has received numerous awards, including being named one of the ten finalists for the annual Religion and Spirituality Book of the Year award from Booklist magazine. She has also had her books published in multiple languages and adapted for radio, stage and television.
