Kim S. Cameron
Kim S. Cameron is an award-winning author of young adult, romance, and fantasy literary fiction. Cameron graduated from Grand Valley State University in 1983 with a degree in English and Creative Writing. She credits her college experiences for giving her the foundation and tools to become an accomplished writer. At the same time, she has said her writing style was shaped by the quirkiness of her hometown and the diverse characters that have been part of her life. Throughout her career, Cameron has produced notable works ranging from contemporary to horror, fantasy, and children’s literary fiction.
Beginning her writing career after college, Cameron published her first novel in 1991. “Sweet Dreams for Lady Luck” focused on the dynamics of a modern family and was met with positive reception. In the years that followed, Kim went on to publish numerous series such as “Summer’s Edge” and “Ana Banning Mystery”. She also delved into the world of fantasy writing with the series “Realms of Light.”
Cameron’s books have been praised for their intricate plots, strong characterization and the artisanship of her writing. She has been the recipient of several awards, most notably the Pulitzer Prize for fiction for her novel “Turning Points.” As well, she has won the Lambda Literary Award for “Best Women’s Fiction” for her novel “Nightsong.”
