Krista Tippett
Krista Tippett is an acclaimed author and journalist focused on topics of spirituality, religion, and science. Through her work, she brings a unique mixture of scientific insight and heartfelt humanity to the topics she writes on.
Krista Tippett was born in 1962 in Shawnee, Oklahoma and studied at Brown University and Yale Divinity School, where she earned a Masters degree in divinity. After working at NPR as a producer, she went on to create and host her award-winning radio program Speak of Faith in 2003. She later became a correspondent for the award-winning radio show On Being, of which she is now the founder and host. On Being has earned numerous awards for its thoughtful and engaging conversations about humanity, which have included interviews with authors, doctors, religious leaders, and political figures.
Krista Tippett's writing has been published in numerous books, including Becoming Wise: An Inquiry into the Mystery and Art of Living, which Time Magazine selected as one of the top ten nonfiction books of 2016. Becoming Wise is a collection of conversations with leading voices on topics such as science, religion, and spirituality, coupled with her personal reflections on what she has learned through extensive research and experience.
