The book not only serves to examine the issues, but also provide strategies to harness technology’s growing power to achieve greater social and economic benefit. He has said that he wrote the book in response to what he has observed as “the rejection of reason” and the way that artificial intelligence and big data technology “demands a new approach to the way we think, and live, and interact with each other.”
