Lisa Bevere

Lisa Bevere is an influential Christian author and speaker. She is best known for writing and speaking on topics such as faith, leadership, healing, and personal growth. She uses her platform to challenge Christian women to move beyond the traditional gender expectations and to break free from the mental, spiritual and emotional patterns that can limit them.

Lisa Bevere was born in Oklahoma in 1954. When she was nine, her family experienced a move of faith to the remote community of Porter, Alaska. This is when Lisa was first introduced to “the beauty of wild nature that ultimately inspires her writing to this day.” Lisa continued to live in Alaska until her family moved back to Oklahoma in 1972. Since then, she has lived and traveled around the United States, eventually settling in Cleveland, Ohio.

Lisa's own faith journey began when she was 19 years old, when she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. As her relationship with Jesus grew, so did her desire to help others find their own spiritual freedom. She soon became dedicated to encouraging others and drawing out the potential in their lives.

Throughout her life, Lisa has held numerous leadership roles, including working as a worship leader, women’s ministries director, and media spokesperson for a Christian television network. She has also worked in publishing, served as an editorial director for an emerging Christian publishing company and author, and is currently the Executive Director of A Woman's Ministry and Co-Founders of Messenger Resources, a media and publishing company.

As an author, Lisa Bevere has written and co-authored many books. Her book Lioness Arising: Wake Up and Change Your World focuses on how women can step into their power and discover the absence of fear and personal individual greatness. Fight Like a Girl: The Power of Being a Woman follows this theme and speaks to the female courage, power, and illustration in the 21st century with discussions about self-acceptance and artificial issues, such as body shaming.

Lisa Bevere has also written a variety of books which include John Bevere’s, The Bait of Satan: Living Free from the Deadly Trap of Offense, Out of Darkness: Seeing Jesus in the Locked, Loveless and Lonely, and her most recent Free to Live: Walking in the Grace and Freedom of Your True Identity.

Her work has been published in many languages and throughout the world, including several countries in Africa and the Middle East, such as Angola, Sierra Leone and Zimbabwe. She has also been a featured speaker at multiple conferences throughout the world, including Woman of the Word Conference in Jerusalem, Israel, and the Proverbs 31 Women's Ministry Conference in Colorado Springs.
