Marc Benioff

Marc Benioff is a successful American businessman and entrepreneur. He is the founder and CEO of Salesforce, one of the world’s leading business technology companies. Benioff is also a well-known philanthropist who has donated much of his wealth to philanthropic causes. Additionally, he is an author and has written several books on business, leadership, and motivation.

Marc Benioff was born in San Francisco, California in 1964 to a Jewish family. He attended the University of Southern California (USC), where he double majored in Business Administration and Computer Science, and later went on to found the software company Oracle. In 1999, he founded his own start up, Salesforce, which quickly became the global leader in cloud-based customer relationship management. The company has since grown to include a wide range of business solutions for customers in the enterprise and government sectors.

Benioff has always been a strong advocate of corporate social responsibility, and has dedicated much of his life to giving back. He is the founder of the Marc Benioff Family Foundation, which focuses on supporting underserved communities in San Francisco. He is also a major benefactor of the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland, and the Bay Area-based Kiva, an organization dedicated to fighting poverty.

In recent years Benioff has become a prolific author, writing and co-writing several books on the topics of business, leadership, and motivation. His first book was published in 2013 and was titled Behind the Cloud: The Untold Story of How Salesforce.com Went from Idea to Billion Dollar Company. The book gives readers a behind-the-scenes look at how Benioff turned Salesforce from an idea into a billion-dollar company.

In May 2015, he released his second book, Trailblazer: The Power of Business as the Greatest Platform for Change. This book focuses on how businesses can use their success to create positive change. In it, Benioff discuss how businesses can use their success to make a difference in the world and how individual entrepreneurship can be a powerful tool for social and environmental change.

In 2018, Benioff released his third book, co-written with Carlye Adler, titled Behind the Cloud: The Untold Story of How Salesforce.com Went from Idea to Billion Dollar Company. This book tells the story of how Benioff overcame numerous obstacles to create a successful billion-dollar business. He highlights the importance of never giving up and following your passions, as well as how to build a successful company while always living by your values.

Benioff’s latest book was released in 2020 and was titled Life in Motion: An Unlikely Return to the Worldstage. This book is a memoir of his journey to success, detailing his rise to the top of the business world and his efforts to create positive social change. He also shares intimate stories of his life and how he learned to become a better leader.

Through his books, Benioff has shared his stories of success, as well as his insights into how businesses can make a positive impact on the world. His work has been widely praised by policymakers, entrepreneurs and business leaders everywhere.
