Maynard Webb is an author, entrepreneur, and philanthropist who has made tremendous contributions to the business industry. He is most famous for being the former CEO of eBay, where he served from 1999 to 2008. He was also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Visa and LiveOps, and a venture capitalist at Webb Investment Network.

Maynard Webb was born on April 16, 1961, in Oakland, California. He studied business administration at the University of California Berkeley and received an M.B.A from the University of Michigan. After graduating, he began his career in the technology industry by joining Oracle Corporation in 1987 as a sales representative. In 1991, Webb was appointed vice president of Oracle's Applications Technologies Group.

By 1999, Maynard's success and impressive track record of success had earned him a promotion to the CEO of eBay, one of the world's largest online marketplace. While in this position, he was credited with significantly improving eBay's profitability and navigated it through the dot-com bubble. During his tenure as CEO, Webb played a significant role in turning eBay into a worldwide phenomenon.

In addition to his work in the technology industry, Maynard Webb has also made major contributions to the nonprofit organization Larkin Street Youth Center. He served on the board of directors from 2012 to 2017 and has been an advocate of the organization's mission to help vulnerable youth become self-sufficient, productive members of society. He has also served on the board of directors for the Silicon Valley Community Foundation and as an executive committee member for the Khan Academy, a free online educational platform.
