Michael Bierut, who was born in 1957, is a celebrated American graphic designer who has been in the industry for over four decades. He is currently the Senior Partner in Pentagram's New York office and is widely involved with many aspects of design worldwide. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with a multitude of well-known clients, including Benetton, Harley-Davidson, Saks Fifth Avenue, and the New York Giants football team.

In 2006, Bierut was inducted into the Art Directors Club Hall of Fame and was included in the inaugural class of the Smithsonian Institution’s Cooper Hewitt National Design Award in 2009. He has also served as a faculty member for the Yale University School of Art and Columbia College in Chicago, where he is currently a Board Member.
