Michael E. Raynor is an author and professor of strategy, innovation and entrepreneurship at Deloitte Services LP. He was formerly a senior partner at Deloitte Consulting LLP where his research and management consulting related to strategy, operations and innovation. He has written or co-authored three books, including The Strategy Paradox, The Innovator's Manifesto, and The Three Rules. He has been widely published throughout the business and academic worlds, and has also published dozens of peer-reviewed articles in a variety of journals.

Michael E. Raynor graduated from Harvard College magna cum laude in 1989, earning a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics. He then attended Stanford Law School and graduated with distinction in 1992. After graduating, Raynor worked as a management consultant for Bain & Company before joining Deloitte Consulting LLP.

Raynor's first book, The Strategy Paradox, was published in 2007 and focuses on the balance between risk and reward. Raynor’s second book, The Innovator's Manifesto, was published in 2010 and serves as a how-to guide for entrepreneurs and innovators. His third book, The Three Rules: How Exceptional Companies Think, was published in 2017. It looks at the companies that have been successful, and explores their strategies and techniques.
