Neil Pasricha

Born in Mississauga, Ontario on December 27th 1979, Pasricha spent his formative years attending the University of Western Ontario, from which he received an Honours Business Administration Degree. Shortly after, he completed the Rotman School of Management's Global Executive MBA Program.
Soon after his studies, Pasricha began his career at Walmart Corporate Headquarters in Canada, starting out as a part-time satellite analyst and quickly working his way up to the top tier, becoming the Director of Strategic Planning. Pasricha left Walmart in 2009 to pursue a career as a professional speaker and best-selling author.
Although Pasricha's career changed, his desire to make the world a better place never stopped. It was with this mission that he launched The Book of Awesome series—a set of books that reflects on the small, simple pleasures that make life worth living. Pasricha’s first best-selling book, The Book of Awesome, was inspired by his pioneering blog, 1000 Awesome Things. The book celebrates life’s small pleasures from snow days to poking a strawberry with your finger and is a reminder of how fortunate we all are, despite what life may throw our way.
Pasricha went on to write multiple bestselling books in the Awesome Series, including The Book of (Even More) Awesome and The Book of Holiday Awesome. He also co-authored a book, The Happiness Equation, which looks at the small everyday choices we make and how those decisions affect our overall happiness.
Pasricha's 2019 book, The Book of Calm, shares insights from philosophy, psychology, and science to offer readers an understanding of the power of relaxation, how to slow down and enjoy life's small moments, and how to discover tranquil moments in our lives. The book furthers Pasricha's mission to spread awareness of the importance of living life mindfully.
