Norm Eisen

Norm Eisen, an attorney and author, is an essential figure in the field of ethics and compliance. He has written extensively on the topics of corporate governance, ethics and compliance, and is the author of many books.

Eisen was born in Washington D.C. and educated at Harvard Law School. His legal practice is focused on providing counsel to corporations and non-profit organizations on matters of corporate governance and compliance. In 2012, Eisen released Compliance Officer’s Handbook: A Concise Guide to Effective Corporate Governance and Compliance, a comprehensive handbook for corporate officers and compliances. The handbook provides detailed information about creating an effective compliance program and covers topics such as corporate liability, regulatory requirements, ethics and whistleblowing.

In 2013, Eisen authored The Politics of Presidential Appointments: A Memoir of the Obama White House, a book that detailed Eisen's experience in the Obama administration. The book was featured in three international best-seller lists in 2016, and the book examines the complexities of the appointment process while offering insight into the politics of presidential appointments.

In 2014, Eisen released The New Corporate Governance in Theory and Practice, a comprehensive guide to understanding the new corporate governance. The book covers topics such as corporate governance structures, compliance and ethics, monitoring, risk management and stakeholder engagement. It is used as a reference by corporations and law practitioners, offering tactics and legal strategies to help organizations hone their corporate governance skills.
