Robert Kyncl

Robert Kyncl is an author and entrepreneur best known for writing the book Your Money and Your Brain. He is an advocate of financial education and has been invited to speak at various conferences and events around the globe.

Kyncl was born in Czechoslovakia and moved to Montreal, Canada as a child. He studied marketing and international business at McGill University in Montreal and later attended Harvard Business School. It was during this time that he wrote his first book, Your Money and Your Brain. In it, he discusses how to optimize financial decisions by using neuroscience to our advantage. Kyncl currently serves as the Chief Business Officer for YouTube where he is responsible for creating and implementing strategies for monetization and audience growth. Prior to this role, he held executive positions at Netflix, Snap, and Hulu. He is also the founder of Streamlang, an international language-learning company.

In addition to his writing and executive roles, Kyncl has served on the board of the National Endowment for Financial Education and was appointed to the White House’s Council of Economic Advisers by President Obama. He is also an advisor to numerous startups, venture funds, and private equity firms.

Kyncl has earned numerous awards and distinctions for his notable achievements. In 2015, he was named one of Fortune’s “40 Under 40” and in 2016, he was included in the Hollywood Reporter’s “Power 100” list recognizing the most influential people in the entertainment industry.
