Susan Page
Susan Page is a New York Times Bestselling author who is known for her uplifting and inspirational stories. She has authored more than thirty books which have been published in thirty-five countries and translated into nineteen languages. Among her titles are fiction and non-fiction works that range from inspirational texts to thrillers.
Page has been writing since she was a young girl. After college, she moved to New York City where she worked as an editor, eventually transitioning to creative writing. Page wrote her first book, Too Close For Comfort, in 1991. It was published during a time of great discussion and debate around the important issues of family ethics. This book became a favorite amongst fans and critics, earning Page an agent and a publishing contract. Additionally, Too Close For Comfort became a Lifetime Television movie in 1996.
Page’s next series was the critically acclaimed Adrenaline Highs, which was a five-books series. This series was focused on the adventures of the main character, Joni Weigand. After Adrenaline Highs, Page published A Bend in the Road, which was turned into a made-for-television movie. Her next work was Halfway to Heaven, which focused on the complexities of depression. This book was praised by Oprah Winfrey and booklovers, pushing it onto the bestsellers list.
For her next work, Page ventured into non-fiction and wrote a book about prayer called Just Asking. She followed this up with Deep in the Heart, a memoir based on her own struggles and healing. This book was highly successful, earning her a spot on the New York Times bestseller list. The success of this book propelled Page onto the lecture circuit and brought her to many parts of the world to lecture and give talks.
Page has received many awards for her work, the most recent being the 2020 Diversity and Hope Award from the Asian American Literary Awards. Additionally, her work has been consistently praised by industry greats such as former First Lady Laura Bush, President Barack Obama and Former President Bill Clinton, among others.
Though all of her books have been very well received, one of the standout works is undoubtedly Unforgettable You. This book was her first venture into the romance genre and quickly became a fan favorite, pushing it to the New York Times’ bestseller list. This work features a multicultural cast of characters and centers around the powerful theme of unconditional love.
Outside of her work, Page is an avid sports fan, having been part of the Indiana University Women’s Basketball Team in college. She is a dedicated volunteer, spending much of her time working with at-risk teens. Page also participates in various charity and outreach programs that focus on creating a brighter future for young people.
