Thomas Nichols

Thomas Nichols is an American novelist known for writing thrillers and horror fiction. His books often take readers on a journey of suspense, with characters grappling with questions of morality, faith, and the meaning of life. He is the author of several critically acclaimed and bestselling novels, including the horror classic Midnight Book Club, the bestselling crime fiction trilogy Salt & Light, and the forthcoming historical thriller The Reaper’s Blade.

Nichols was born and raised in northeast Ohio, and developed a love of horror and suspense fiction at an early age. After graduating from college in 1988, he began writing short stories and novels. His first novel, Midnight Book Club, was published in 1994 and quickly became a cult classic among horror fans. The novel follows a group of university students exploring the dark history of their local library and its notorious former head librarian.

The success of Midnight Book Club established Nichols as a popular writer of horror fiction. Between 1998 and 2003, he wrote the bestselling trilogy Salt & Light, a gripping crime fiction saga set in the Midwest and California. Nichols followed up on The Reaper’s Blade with several short stories and novellas, including ‘Thrillseekers and Fools’, ‘The House That Bleeds’, and ‘Mister G’. He also released a stand-alone thriller, Come the Madness, in 2013.
