Anne Morriss
Anne Morriss is an award-winning author of fantasy and science fiction novels and short stories. She is best known for her Dark Lands series, which has been praised for its compelling and imaginative world-building. Her novels explore themes of magic and destiny, and her writing has been described as “complex and thrilling.”
Morriss was born in Southern Ontario and began writing as a teenager. She studied creative writing at the University of Toronto and graduated with degrees in literature and linguistics. Morriss has earned numerous accolades for her works. The Blessing of Light won the Aurora Award for best Fantasy Novel in 2011, and The Red King’s Daughter was nominated for the Prix Aurora award for Best Long Form Work in 2013. Morriss’s works have also been published internationally, and she has been featured at multiple conventions such as WisCon and ComicCon.
