Bruce Patton is a world-renowned author, successful entrepreneur, and sought-after inspirational speaker and consultant. He then spent a year in Puerto Rico studying economics, but soon chose to move to Washington DC to pursue a degree in law. In 1976, he graduated from Harvard Law School and then clerked for a prominent federal judge.

From the start of his legal practice in the late 70s, working for the law firm Dewey & LeBouef, to his role as co-founder of the Harvard Negotiation Project, Patton has shaped the field with his well-developed methods. This method was profoundly successful and became the basis for the book Getting to Yes.
