Corey Phelps

Corey Phelps is an American author, best known for his series of books devoted to teaching and learning, entitled the Learning Development Series. He is an education professional, humanitarian, and advocate for better education for all. He has written several books and developed a series of educational materials and resources to improve learning development and educational outcomes for students.

Corey Phelps was born in Denham Springs, Louisiana, to two educators and has two siblings. He attended university at Tulane University and University of Louisiana at Lafayette where he earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, a master's degree in Education, and a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership.

Phelps first became involved with writing during his voyage to become an educator. His first book, The Learning Development Series: Transforming Education with Technology and New Media, was released in 2012. The book, which became a bestseller, was the first in what would be a series of books aimed at teaching and learning.

The book is broken up into nine topics that address different aspects of instructional design, technology and teaching strategies, such as online learning, using social media to teach, and using project-based learning. Through research and discussions with both students and educators, Phelps developed a program to improve instruction, communication, and increase student engagement and success in the classroom.

Phelps followed up with the release of other books in the Learning Development Series, including Engagement Strategies for Online Learning, An Educator's Guide to Engaging Digital Natives, and Reimagining STEM Education. He has also released several books through international publishers, such as Innovative Technology for Online Learning, Learning Styles: Shapes of Understanding, and The ABCs of Effective Classroom Management.

In addition to his writing, Phelps has spoken throughout the United States, Europe and Asia on various topics, including the use of technology in the classroom. He has presented at the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), the American Educational Research Association (AERA), and the Educause Learning Initiative (ELI).

Through his work, Phelps has been able to share his knowledge and expertise with educators around the world. He has advocated for the increased use of technology in the classroom and helped teachers develop skills to become effective educators. Phelps has also been recognized for his commitment to education, winning several awards, including the Outstanding Educator Award from the Association for Educational Communications and Technology.
