The daughter of two teachers, Joiner grew up in a small rural town in Georgia. As a child, she was always fascinated by books and stories, which developed into a passion for writing. Her life changed dramatically when she met a college professor who shared her interest for writing. After graduating from college, Joiner took a job as a technical writer, with the goal of using her skills to make a living from writing.
Over the years, Joiner has become known for her thought-provoking stories that captivate readers from all walks of life. Her books feature prominently themes of hope, love, and friendship. Joiner’s Young Adult novel Life Unlabeled, which released in 2017, follows the story of Allie, a teen who is trying to find her place in the world.
