Ryan Serhant
Ryan Serhant is an American real estate agent, businessman and entertainer from New York City. He is best known for his work in the hit television show Million Dollar Listing New York, where he has held a starring role since its debut in 2012. He is a best-selling author, having written two books, Sell It Like Serhant and Sell It Like Serhant: How to Sell More, Earn More and Become the Ultimate Sales Machine.
Since his rise in fame, Serhant has worked with a variety of celebrities, assisting them with real estate transactions, including Karolina Kurkova, Usher, and Agent Smith from Matrix. Ryan has also made appearances in GQ Magazine and Huffington Post and is the first real estate agent ever to have a role in a Hallmark Channel Original Movie.
Ryan was born in Houston, Texas, moving to New York City with his parents at a young age. After high school he attended college at Hamilton College studying business and psychology. After college he started his own business, Boom Properties, and at the same time appeared in two Off-Broadway plays.
He has managed real estate deals in New York City from the ground up; from one-bedroom condominiums to penthouse deals. Ryan himself closed the most expensive condo deal to date on Billionaires Row in Manhattan for $44 million. This experience and a career that has spanned over a decade of success in the real estate industry is what he has drawn from for his writing career.
In 2017, Serhant released his book Sell It Like Serhant. In the book, he provides sales tips from his own experiences in the field, as well as from other experts.
