Sheryl Sandberg

Sheryl Sandberg is a world-renowned author, technology executive, and philanthropist. She is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Facebook, a position she has held since joining the company in 2008. Prior to that, she was the Vice President of Global Online Sales and Operations at Google, and she also served on multiple other companies' boards, including the Walt Disney Company and Women for Women International.


She has authored two international bestselling books, Lean In and Option B, which explore topics such as women in leadership roles, gender equity, work-life balance, and resilience in adversity. In Lean In, she encourages women to challenge cultural norms and take ownership of their career and future. Option B explores what happens when life takes an unexpected turn and how we can find the strength and resilience to thrive in spite of it.

Sandberg is also a leader in the global fight against gender inequality. She launched the Lean In movement in 2013, which helps to support women all over the world as they pursue their career and leadership dreams. Later, she established the Lean In Foundation, a nonprofit organization that works to advance women's equality through awareness, education and mentorship programs.

Sandberg has earned numerous awards and accolades throughout her career. She was named one of Time's 100 Most Influential People multiple times and Fortune's Most Powerful Women in Business multiple times.

In addition to her work in business and philanthropy, Sandberg is an angel investor, serving on the boards of SurveyMonkey and The Posse Foundation. She is also active in her local community, and cofounded the Shawn Carter Foundation, which provides scholarships and mentoring to low-income students.
