Missing You by Harlan Coben is the poignant story of a young woman looking for her missing love. Kat Donovan is a NYPD detective who is haunted by the unexplained disappearance of her former fiancé, Jeff, 15 years ago. Despite her successful career, her personal life has been unfulfilled with deep emotional pain that can only come from mourning the loss of a beloved partner.

Kat is shocked when she receives an email from him proclaiming his love for her and hinting at a possible meeting. She quickly gets the feeling that something isn't right and that she's being followed—but why? As she delves deeper into the mystery of Jeff's disappearance, and into her own past, she finds herself in the midst of a dangerous adventure that will take her all the way across the world to discover the truth.

The story of Missing You centers around two main characters—Kat, who is looking for answers, and Jeff, who is the mysterious figure who appears out of nowhere. We quickly learn that Kat is a hardworking detective who has dedicated her life to her job. Jeff, in contrast, was always more of the free spirit—always up for a new adventure and living life on the edge. But their connection was strong, and 15 years later, all of those feelings come flooding back when Kat receives the email from Jeff.

Through Kat's journey, we explore themes of loyalty and betrayal, strength and vulnerability, and the power of love to overcome all odds. As the layers of the mystery are revealed, we're taken along in suspense as each new piece of information adds to the puzzle.
